Marko was an outstanding figure in the shooting sport, and his passing leaves a significant void both in the sport and among his friends, colleagues and family. His dedication, talent, and sportsmanship have inspired many shooters over the years.

Marko was an excellent shooting coach and mentor, known for his great sense of justice. About two years ago, everyone saw how deeply this sense of justice was ingrained in his character, when he impressively demonstrated his commitment to what is right and fair. Even then, the international shooting sport had already lost one of its greatest icons. He always treated everyone with respect, regardless of their level or background, and created an inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome.Marko was not just a skilled coach, but also a true showman. His charisma and presence light up every competition, and his ability to engage and inspire was unmatched. When he left us, he did so in a way that ensured the whole world knew about it – a true testament to his significance and influence.
His life and career were marked by a deep commitment to the integrity and development of the sport. Marko, you will always be remembered for your passion, fairness, and ability to make us all strive to be better. You leave a great void, but also a legacy that will live on for generations.
